The Russian oil container that lost power off the coast of Haida Gwaii is being towed away by a Canadian Coast Guard vessel.
Thursday evening the tanker lost power and there was concern the vessel might run aground on Haida Gwaii.
Ten crew members remain on the vessel. The captain, who was injured, was airlifted to receive medical care.
Tugs are heading to the vessel and will take over towing from the Canadian Coast Guard.
